What is Duty of Care
Duty of Care is a law which states that anyone who produces waste, unless the waste comes from you own household, has a responsibility to dispose of the waste safely. You must dispose of the waste through a registered waste carrier. You must also take all reasonable steps to store the waste safely until it is disposed of.

Duty of Care also states that you must have completed a Transfer Note, which must be signed by yourselves and your waste carrier. Quay Recycle Ltd will provide you with a copy of the controlled waste transfer notice. Existing customers should already have signed this form.
